There's nothing like a good depressing movie.

Lately we have been watching some amazing movies. Really good ones.  Taken was amazing, and ever since I watched Schindler's List (only recently for the first time) I can't help but love Liam Neeson. But for some reason, everything we have watched has been really, really depressing.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was amazing, but wow, what an ending.  This movie could never be mistaken for a feel-good film. Regardless, it was fantastic.

The Reader was equally good, and equally depressing. Kate Winslet does depressing well though.

The Reader

On Sunday I watched The Edge of Love. I knew nothing about this movie before watching it, but I knew Sienna Miller and Keira Knightly were in it, which was enough for me.  As it turns out, it was about Dylan Thomas, his wife, and the woman he loved (not his wife, of course). And then there was that girls husband, who is totally scarred from the war. Oh, the beauty of a feel-good movie. But, it was worth it. Those two girls are amazing.

  1. Liam Neeson is one of my all time favorites! I <3d "Taken" and "Schindler's List" is in my top 10.

I actually read "The Reader" and I'm really looking forward to renting it.

Pajamas looks teary. I don't know if I want to see it!
