It seems early to be thinking about it...

...but everyone is already gearing up for the holidays. It gets earlier every year.

This year I want to be REALLY prepared and organized, and for that I need the ultimate list...oooh I love a good list.

Holidays 2010:
  1. Have hallway done by the end of this weekend. That includes the 2nd coat of wall colour, trim, and putting back all of our photos and storage. This will be the last of the projects before January for us!
  2. Send out Christmas cards by the end of next weekend.
  3. Try to have all of our Christmas shopping done by the end of November. Ambitious, yes. Doable? Maybe.
  4. Get some great gifts at the One of a Kind Show.
  5. Decorate the house on December 5th (I'll be too busy Christmas shopping in November, and December 4th is already taken by Mr. Brandon Flowers.)
  6. Don't forget to watch the Martha Stewart Christmas Special (December 6th!)
  7. Watch ALL of our annual Christmas movies together. Meaning, force Billy to watch the movies he's sick to death of (White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol, Merry Christmas Charlie Brown, the list goes on).
  8. Bake at least 3 types of Christmas cookies (to sweeten the whole Christmas-movie watching deal).
  9. Wrap presents a little bit at a time during December, and not all in one night where I end up swearing and wishing there was no Christmas.
  10. Keep things simple for our Christmas party. Christmas punch, a few appetizers, and the 'potluck' side will cover the rest. I always find it hard to enjoy a good party when I spend the whole time worrying about what's in the oven.
  11. Plan time to relax, and just enjoy the build up to the BEST time of year :)
