Well, a few more pieces have been sold and are soon on route to their new homes! SO excited!
And no, I don't plan on sharing EVERY sale on here, ha ha. The first batch have been really exciting for me, but I'll keep to simply updating my shop gallery with sold pieces and leave it at that. But, still, YAY!
Recently a little flurry of iPhone cases have sold too! Ana of Bluebird Kisses, and Sara of Saige Wisdom each ordered one and I'm so thrilled! Girls, please feel free to give me your feedback on the cases (quality, look, etc.) and don't hold back! A close friend of mine actually also got one for Valentine's Day! Love that! These have been the most popular designs so far...the raindrops are still my fav. Is it bad to order one myself? I think I have to.
I've been having a really amazing time with ADOP so far. At first I was really, really hesitant to start selling my work at all. It's hard to put yourself out there...really hard. But I am SO glad I did it. Not only do I get to spend a lot of my time painting (when I'm not carrying a little one on my hip, that is) and work with really lovely customers, but I've also been getting in touch with people (fellow bloggers, etc.) and have had some really amazing feedback. I hope that you all don't mind me talking about shop stuff on here. Initially, the thought crossed my mind to start a new blog just for ADOP, but that would never work. I would forget all about one of them, and this blog has always been about what's going on with us, so I think ADOP counts!
In the coming months I'm hoping to have more news to share with you, including a giveway on a pretty major blog...so stay tuned! In the meantime, I'm still working a little bit on the whole branding part (which is totally my favourite, apart from the actually painting part, which still wins). I was a marketing student after all, so this sort of thing is right up my alley. I'm really happy with how it's coming along so far!
In the next few weeks I hope to write a bit about what I've learned so far from having a shop on Etsy. You'd be surprised how many things I've encountered in the little time I've been on there. Overall, it's been totally positive. I am a bit fan of Etsy, and I'm really proud to be a part of that community!
Well, that's all for now. Off I go to relax and get some rest for my day job (aka, Benjamin's mom, best job ever).
Hope everyone has a lovely evening!
