If your gift is tiny enough, you’re in luck, as I’ve found some sweet free printable DIY jewelry gift boxes for any occasion! Now instead of running to the store for some fancy wrapping paper (which is probably not even worth it), or using your only day old newspaper to wrap the present, you can utilize one of those inexpensive and cute DIY ideas right from your own home! These gifts are beautiful and unique, and they’re made easy for any occasion. So, if you’re in need of a gift idea that’s inexpensive and cute, consider one of these gift boxes!
For this DIY gift box inspiration, I’ll be showing you three super easy and budget-friendly ways to make empty jewelry boxes into something pretty special during the holidays. First, start with a beautiful plain jewelry box that’s already empty. You don’t need to buy anything to make it look nice and simple, just get some clear, empty, or colored glass beads and some clear or colored ribbon. You can buy beautiful sparkly beads in just about any color imaginable; just take a look through your jewelry store at all the Christmas ornaments on display this season.

Next, we’ll need some clear cellophane, and plain card stock. Wrap the cellophane over the top and bottom of your jewelry box, and then unfold the card stock so it is completely covered. You can also use another piece of card stock or another empty gift box for this DIY gift box project. Next, draw a Christmas scene on the inside of the box with markers (just make sure it’s Christmas themed, and don’t cheat!)
Now we have some beautiful but inexpensive wrapping paper, and we can add our own embellishments to the box. If you have a crafty or pretty family member, they’ll love cutting and gluing different Christmas themed ribbons to their gift. For even more fun, why not add a few strips of glitter, or small beads and drizzle them over the wrapping paper before you close the gift up? Free printable in jewelry boxes are an inexpensive and easy way to dress up your ordinary gift box.
For less expensive and prettier diy jewelry gift box ideas, think about creating beautiful heart shaped boxes. It doesn’t have to be expensive to be lovely. For less than $20 you can buy heart-shaped clear cellophane from any craft store. Wrap the box in cellophane, add your personal touches and bows and stick colorful or silver danglers into the heart shape. These heart shaped diy gift boxes are the perfect idea for a special someone on your shopping list!
Another inexpensive and unique way to present your jewelry is to create your own “deck of cards”. If you’ve ever been at a family Christmas party that didn’t include kids, then you know how much time children waste getting ready for Christmas. Instead of spending hours at the end of the year sorting through gift wrap, why not just get them started early by creating a unique “deck of cards” for them to open when they get home? You can purchase inexpensive construction paper and craft foam, cut out your own cards, or use inexpensive Christmas themed cards from a craft store or your own computer. These unique and inexpensive diy gift boxes are sure to bring a smile to any little one’s face on Christmas morning!

Other inexpensive yet useful in jewelry gift box ideas include homemade wrapping paper, bath bombs (useful if you have a crafty family member), homemade bubble solution, homemade baby bottle lids, or homemade hand sanitizer wipes. Often times we will find our gifts have already arrived but we still want to show our friends and family how much we appreciate their thoughtfulness. There are several ways to do this depending on the situation. For example, maybe you found a beautiful handmade quilt in a local craft store but don’t have the time or money to purchase the actual gift, if this is the case you could create a lovely and affordable gift out of a variety of items you may already have.
If you are running on a tight budget, or maybe you just want to save some money, there are several free printable gift boxes that you could look into. You can find many free printable Christmas gift boxes online with just a little search on your favorite search engine. If you have any artistic talent and enjoy making crafts, then these would be ideal for you to use for your next homemade Christmas gift box. Many people love making these crafts and will likely have some extra unused Christmas cards, bath soaps, and/or washcloths that they are not using right now. This would be an ideal way to help save some money and have nice craft gifts without spending a lot of money on materials.
